
► 24/06/10 - Round Four : Street Car Championship
Laurie Whittome in his debut race this season took advantage of mechanical woes suffered by the point leaders to win Round 4 of the Street Car Championship in the closest fought race meeting this year. Tony Lucente continued his great form taking second overall only two points behind Whittome. Neil Pollard driving the Waterways Car Wash Mandurah Subaru WRX finished with is best result of the year in third place. Grant Gellan making a guest appearance bagged the most points in the Under 2L class.
Peter Screen got off to a flying start winning race one before an incident in race two sidelined the RX7 for the rest of the day. Ivan Tan in the Mischief Racing Subaru WRX gathered some solid points to take 6th overall - equal points with Iain MacPherson in the Malaga Auto Electrics & Aircon WRX in 5th.
   
Street Cars take a break in July and return the following month for the big one - The Annual Torque Trophy on the 22nd of August.
► 15/04/10 - Round Three : Street Car Championship
Andrews Stevens dominated round three of the Street Car Championship with Tony Lucente in the Fiat 124 and Paul Kluck making their first appearance on the podium this season. An awesome result from both Stevens and Kluck in their debut season. Tony Lucente's new car looking to grab many more points this season. Maggie Waters once again took home the Under 2L number one trophy
   
Next round will be held at the 96fm Winter race meeting in June. Both Stevens and Lucente will be hoping to claw back even more points on series leader Mark Greenham.
► 18/03/10 - Round Two : Street Car Championship
Several new drivers joined the Street Car ranks last weekend at round two of the Street Car Championship. Iain MacPherson in the Malaga Auto Electric & Aircon WRX and Neil Pollard also driving a Subaru WRX debuted in the outright class while Glen Badger's Ulster Kennels Ford Escort made it's first appearance in the Under 2L category. Tony Lucente also unveiled his awesome new Fiat 124 turbo.
Mark Greenham's success continued from last meeting taking pole position and all three race wins. Peter Major qualified well in second but suffered mechanical woes which ultimately forced his retirement from the meeting. Graham Stones returned in his FD Mazda RX7 taking a third and two second places to finish the evening second overall. Paul Kluck continued his improved performance with two fourth places and a third taking out third place overall. Glen Badger won the Under 2L category on debut in the Ford Mk1 Escort. Other notable performances included newcomer Iain MacPherson finishing third in race two and fourth place overall for the meeting.
   
Next round on the calender is the Auto Trader Trophy scheduled for Sunday 11th April at Wanneroo Raceway. Keep an eye out for the upcoming issues of the Auto Trader magazine for more event information.
► 24/02/10 - Round One : Street Car Championship
The 2010 Street Car Championship kicked off last Saturday evening at Wanneroo Raceway with a great turnout of competitors. At the pointy end of the field the Datanet Mazda RX7 of Mark Greenham and Factory RE RX7 of Peter Major fought off the hard charging newcomer Andrew Stevens in his Hyperdrive Nissan 180SX all evening. Also making their Street Car debut were Paul Kluck in the immaculate Total Vet Care Nissan R32 Skyline and Glenn Petersen running the 1501 Engineering Performance Holden Commodore.
Street Cars displayed some excellent racing all the way through the field. Some highlights include the three-way tussle between the turbo 4WD Subaru WRX of Ivan Tan, naturally aspirated six cylinder AU Falcon of Troy Stones and Under 2L Ford escort of Chris Gerdie. However it was Mark Greenham who finished on top of the podium with pole position and three race wins in the RX7. Pushed hard all evening by second placed Peter Major in the new RX7 and Andrew Steven's 180SX - who also managed the fastest lap in every race. Chris Gerdie took out the Under 2L category.
   
Next round is scheduled for Saturday evening 13th March at Wanneroo Raceway. This event will be run on the long circuit as opposed to the shortened version usually reserved for night racing. This will be a new experience for virtually all the drivers and promises to provide some exciting competition for both racers and spectators.
► 19/10/09 - Kerry Wade Regains Street Car Championship Title
Repeating his 2007 performance Kerry Wade has once again taken out the Street Car Championship in the LF Performance RX7. A consistant points haul at each round has netted second place for Derek Garner in the Factory RE Series 1 Mazda RX7. Despite an excellent start to the season Tony Lucente slips to third after damaging the Lucente Motors Fiat 124 during a test and tune session resulting in the team missing the last two rounds. Chris Gerdie in the Racetune prepared Ford Escort has taken home the Under 2L crown. Final point scores are now available in the results section. Congratulations to all our winners.
  
► 19/05/09 - Auto Trader Trophy Results
The first long circuit race of the year saw Kerry Wade once again take three race wins. Troy Stones kept Wade honest is race one but suffered mechanical gremlins and dropped pace later in the day to finish second. John Whologan took third place with a strong consistant run - setting a new personal best lap record in the process. Tony Lucente displayed impressive speed also setting a personal best lap time in the Fiat 124. Updated point scores are now available in the results section.

► 18/04/09 - Nightmasters Round 2 Results
Kerry Wade dominated the latest round of the Street Car Championship in the LF Performance RX7 with three race wins and a new short-track lap record. Grant Johnson in the United Oil RX7 took second with Steven Jones in the R32 Skyline rounding out the podium. Updated point scores are now available in the results section. ► 12/03/09 - Nightmasters Round 2
The second round of the Street Car Championship kicks off this Saturday afternoon at Barbagallo Raceway. This round will see the return of Kerry Wade in the multi championship winning LF Performance RX7 as well as Grant Johnson making an apperance in the last years championship winning United Oil RX7. Kim Ledger will be the first 4WD to take advantage of the new Street Car regulations in his Mitsubishi Evolution VI. Steven Jones will campaign the R32 Skyline driven by Kerry Wade last year and past competitors Derek Garner in the RX7 and Glen Brocklehurst in the XC Falcon Coupe will make a welcome return as well as new competitor Levi O'Grady and his RX7.
  
Qualifying starts at 2:15pm and racing at 4:00pm.
► 23/02/09 - New Street Cars
There were several new street car campaigners at the first round of the Street Car Championship last weekend. The two cars of Tony Lucente (Fiat 124 Turbo) and Scott Petersen (Commodore VL) made a welcome return as well as the brand new Mazda RX7 of Russell Howard.

Tony Lucente took the round win followed by the exceptionally fast naturally aspirated Ford Escort of Rolly Waters with Scott Petersen taking the third place podium position on debut. New videos from Rolly Waters are available in the gallery section.
► 01/02/09 - 4WD cars now eligible
Subaru WRX, Mitsubishi Evo and Nissan Skyline GT-R enthusiants will welcome the addition of 4WD vehicles to the Street Car eligibilty line-up. Several new Street Car Racing Association members have already taken advantage of this development and will be competing at the upcoming Street Car race meetings.
